Operational Systems

Your team stops being the glue between your systems.

Operational pipelines, internal automations, and integrations — built and kept running. When an API or tool changes, I fix it before it costs you. Your team spends its time on judgment, not data entry.

The pain

What this usually looks like.

  • Skilled people spend hours a day moving data between systems instead of the work you hired them for.
  • A workflow breaks quietly when an API or tool changes, and nobody notices until something important slips.
  • A spreadsheet is the real source of truth for a business-critical process you'd rather it weren't.
  • Every new integration takes weeks, because nobody fully understands the last one.
  • Half the automations are no-code hacks that work most of the time - until they don't.

What I build

Concrete deliverables.

  • Operational pipelines that connect your real tools - CRM, billing, fulfillment, accounting, email - on a real backend, not a no-code graph.
  • AI-assisted, human-reviewed steps for qualification, enrichment, drafting, classification - used where it makes the work cheaper or faster, never as the headline.
  • Human-in-the-loop exactly where judgment matters: review, approve, override, audit.
  • Monitoring, retries, and dead-letter queues, so you hear about a problem before your customers do.
  • Version-controlled, documented workflows a human can still understand and change a year later.

How it works

Inputs · Process · Outputs.

Inputs

Your existing tool stack, the business processes you want to automate, the steps a human still has to do, the failure modes you can't afford.

Process

I run client workflows on TinyWorkers - my orchestration platform - and on plain Laravel + queues where it's simpler. Integrations are written by hand, not generated. AI is wired in only at specific points, with prompts and outputs versioned like code.

Outputs

Hours of manual work handed back to your team. Workflows that run unattended for weeks and tell you when something genuinely needs a human. Failure modes documented and tested up front, not discovered at 2am.

Stack

What we'd actually use.

  • Laravel
  • Laravel Horizon / queues
  • Orchestration platform (custom)
  • OpenAI / Anthropic APIs
  • Webhook-driven integrations
  • PostgreSQL / Redis
  • Slack / email alerting

Pricing

Build typically €2.5k–€8k, then from €350/mo to operate and improve it - hosted on my orchestration platform, watched, and adjusted when an API or your process changes. The monthly side is where it earns its keep.

Exact price depends on operational complexity and how involved you want me. Every engagement starts with a short async intake - no call required.

Operator perspective

Built by someone who actually runs the systems - not just builds them.

I've been building production automations for a decade - ingestion pipelines, scheduling, daily ops workflows for ecommerce, content businesses, and a 5-year real-estate platform. The patterns that survive are the ones I bring.

  • Built and supported ecommerce operations for over a decade - Magento and custom Laravel.
  • Sold digital products and paid guides since 2014.
  • Run niche content businesses with my own SEO and writing.
  • Wrote and ran newsletter funnels that actually converted.
  • Built production automations for real operational workflows.
  • Architected and ran the full production platform for a real-estate business for five years as their outsourced technical operator.
  • Built custom operational tooling - pipelines, scheduling, daily workflows.

Recent work

A platform that ran for five years.

Real-estate lead-gen, Belgium

Architected the platform that ran a Belgian real-estate business for five years.

Industry: Real estate / proptech. Duration: 5 years (and counting on residual work).
